The play "addresses the strain placed on families while caring for severely challenged children. Drawn from a real-life incident, the play invites us to think about the unthinkable." A Nervous Smile had its premiere at The Humana Festival in 2005. Maria Mileaf will direct. John Belluso died on Feb. 10, 2006, at age 36.

Amy Brenneman received two Emmy nominations for her work on "NYPD Blue." Last year, she concluded a six-year run as the star of "Judging Amy," for which she received three Emmy nominations.

Gloria Reuben recently finished a run in David Hare's Stuff Happens at The Public Theater. O'Connell's many Off-Broadway credits include Belluso's Pyretown, Lovely Day and Manic Flight Reaction. Cohen has appeared in "NYPD Blue" and "Law & Order."
