Actress Amy Stiller of the Stiller clan (Jerry, Ben and Anne Meara) will star in Fully Committed at the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, Aug. 14-31. The young actress will play the role of Sam in performances at Bennett Hall at the Massachusetts locale. Kim Vasquez directs the first-time female lead version of the production. Written by Becky Mode for Mark Setlock, who originated the role Off-Broadway in 1999, the play follows a stressed aspiring actor-reservations clerk at one of New York City's upscale restaurants on the Upper East Side. The actor playing the lead — which has hitherto has been played by a male — then takes 40 other characters including patrons which range from mobsters to supermodels.

Others who have tackled the many roles in Fully Committed include Tony Award winner Roger Bart (You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, The Producers), Christopher Fitzgerald, Brian Beacock and Bronson Pinchot.

Stiller donned the stage most recently in the Off Broadway production of Meara's Down the Garden Paths. Other theatrical turns include The Heidi Chronicles, Beau Jest and I Ought To Be In Pictures opposite her father. Her filmwork includes appearances in "The Daytrippers," "The Cable Guy," and the short "Amy Stiller's Breast" — which she helped pen.
