News An Evening With Neil LaBute to Take Place in Hollywood Tony Award-nominated playwright Neil LaBute will discuss his career and upcoming works with acting coach Howard Fine in Hollywood Jan. 15.

The 7 PM chat will take place at the Howard Fine Acting Studio. Fine will moderate the discussion that will include questions from the audience. All proceeds from An Evening With Neil LaBute will benefit the Vs. Theatre Company. LaBute's The Break of Noon, which premiered Off-Broadway this fall, will begin performances at the Geffen Playhouse Jan 25. His play The Mercy Seat will be presented at [Inside] the Ford this spring.

LaBute's plays include Reasons to Be Pretty, New Testament, Helter Skelter, Second of Pleasure, The Distance From Here, In a Dark Dark House, Autobahn, bash: latter-day plays, The Shape of Things, and the films "In the Company of Men," "Your Friends and Neighbors," "Nurse Betty," "Possession" and "Wicker Man." His play Fat Pig will arrive on Broadway with Dane Cook and Josh Hamilton this spring.
