News An Evening with Nellie McKay Plays the Zipper May 31 Threepenny Opera star and recording artist Nellie McKay takes to the stage of the Zipper Factory May 31.

An Evening with Nellie McKay begins at 8 PM. The singing actress, who appeared in the Roundabout Theater Company revival of Threepenny Opera as Polly Peachum, is also well known for her albums "Get Away From Me," "Obligatory Villagers" and "Pretty Little Head." McKay recently completed work on the score for the movie musical, "The Amazing True Story of a Teenage Single Mom." Her song "I Wanna Get Married" was recorded by Audra McDonald on her latest album, "Build a Bridge."

In addition to her Zipper Factory concert, McKay will kick off Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing at 6:30 PM on July 8. The songstress will be joined by the Aristocrats Swing Band for an evening of music inspired by the American songbook.
