News An Intimate Evening with Frank Wildhorn & Friends to Play Asolo Rep The Asolo Repertory Theatre, which is currently presenting the new Frank Wildhorn musical Bonnie & Clyde, will offer An Intimate Evening with Frank Wildhorn & Friends Dec. 21.

Wildhorn, whose musicals include Jekyll & Hyde and The Scarlet Pimpernel, will be joined by special guests for the 8 PM evening that will celebrate songs from his musicals and vast repertoire. The concert will take place in the Mertz Theatre. A lineup of performers who will join Wildhorn will be announced shortly.

The Asolo Rep is also where Wildhorn debuted his musical Svengali in 2006. He earned a Tony Award nomination for the score to The Scarlet Pimpernel. Wildhorn's musicals also include The Civil War, Dracula, Camille Claudel, The Count of Monte Cristo, Carmen, Rudolf, Mitsuko, Never Say Goodbye and Tears of Heaven. The prolific composer's upcoming projects include Havana, Casanova, Excalibur, Mata Hari, Ali, Zelda, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Wonderland, which will arrive on Broadway in March 2011.
