Brainpool (Christoffer Lundquist, David Birde and Jens Jansson) are taking part in the workshop, which began Nov. 14. The group's last trip to the U.S. was for a 2007 showcase production of Junk at the Steve Allen Theatre in Los Angeles.

Junk is being developed in collaboration with director Shakina Nayfack, who produced and directed the previous Joe's Pub concerts of Junk and a concert reading of the show at the National Opera Center.

The workshop, which will be presented Nov. 23 at 10:30 AM, includes McCleskey (The Book of Mormon), Daniel Luis Domenech (Rock of Ages), Freddie Kimmel (Superfly), Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair national tour), Lauren Marcus (Pregnancy Pact), Wachen (Off-Broadway's Rent), Mike Backes (Jersey Boys Las Vegas), Paul Louis Lessard, Amanda Savan and Michael Linden.

Jeremy Robin Lyons is the musical director, with Ty Defoe and Amy Jones joining the team for book and dramaturgical contributions, respectively. A New York cast recording of Junk is planned.
