Matthew Lombaro's new comedy When Playwrights Kill will make its world premiere at The Bushnell's Belding Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut with a strictly limited run from July 26-August 7.

Starring in the show will be Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan as Jack Hawkins, Tony winner Harriet Harris as Brooke Remington, and Tony winner André De Shields as Maurice Khalan Walker.

The new play follows aspiring playwright Jack Hawkins as he prepares for his Broadway debut while dealing with difficult actress Brooke Remington. As the show's tryout run ends in disaster, director Maurice Khalan Walker must step in to keep the two from, truly, killing each other.

Directing When Playwrights Kill will be Noah Himmelstein. Nathan Gehan, Jamison Scott, and Laura Z. Barket in association with ShowTown Productions serve as its producers. Further casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.
