Tony Award nominee Andrea McArdle, who originated the title role on the long-running Broadway hit Annie, will join the show’s writers for a special January 27 reunion at BroadwayCon.

In addition to McArdle, the event will feature assistant choreographer Mary Jane Houdina, as well as cast members Shelley Bruce and Steve Boockvor.

They join the show’s award-winning writers, Martin Charnin (lyrics), Tom Meehan (book), and Charles Strouse (music), who will also be part of the 8 PM event that will be moderated by Jennifer Ashley Tepper.

The panel promises “the inside scoop on how Annie was written, its road to Broadway, backstage tales, and the legacy of everyone's favorite red-headed orphan.”

Co-presented by Playbill, Mischief Management, and Anthony Rapp, BroadwayCon runs January 27-29 at the Javits Center in New York.

The New York Marriot Marquis, located in the heart of Times Square, is the official hotel partner for BroadwayCon, and special guest rates are currently available for BroadwayCon attendees.
