The Mabel Mercer Foundation has announced that the Cabaret Convention will return to the Windy City for four nights beginning Friday, Feb. 14, 2003.

Chicago's second Cabaret Convention begins with a black tie event at the famed Empire Room of the Palmer House Hilton on Feb. 14. The evening, "With a Song in My Heart," will feature 15 cabaret performers singing some of the most classic songs of love. Among those scheduled to entertain include Christine Andreas, Rita Gardner, Jeff Harnar, Craig Rubano, KT Sullivan, Sylvia McNair and David Staller. Tickets are priced at $100 for the 8 PM concert.

Three nights at Chicago's Park West follow, with 8 PM performances on Feb. 15, 16 and 17. Performers will include Justin Hayford, Lynn Loosier, Beckie Menzie, Tom Michael, Audrey Morris, Phillip Officer, Georga Osborne, Spider Saloff, Lisa Asher, Judy Barnett, Joyce Breach, Dina Joy Bird, Mary Foster Conklin, Natalie Douglas, Francine Griffin, Patty Morabito, Karen Oberlin, Denise Perrier, Julie Reyburn, Lumiri Tubo, Anna Bergman, Joan Curto, Brian DeLorenzo, Pamela Sue Fox, Sidney Myer, Avery Sommers, Jennifer Chada and Kat Taylor.

Cabaret veteran Andrea Marcovicci — who is currently enjoying an extended engagement at New York's Algonquin Hotel — will also offer an evening at Chicago's Park West on Feb. 14. Accompanied by musical director Shelly Markham on piano, Marcovicci will perform her acclaimed Cole Porter tribute, "So in Love: The Love Songs of Cole Porter" at 8 PM. Tickets are priced at $40 and $25.
