News Andrew Gans to Sing The Story Book at Don't Tell Mama Dec. 29 and 30 Andrew Gans, who is known to the New York theatre world as the author of the popular weekly Playbill On-Line column "Diva Talk," will step over to the other side of the footlights at the end of 2003 when he brings his cabaret show, The Story Book, to Don't Tell Mama. Shows are Dec. 29 and 30.

Gans' act will feature songs by David Friedman, David Zippel, Frank Wildhorn, Julie Gold, Maury Yeston, Stephen Flaherty, Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Schwartz, Alan Menken, Dean Pitchford, David Shire, Richard Maltby, Jr., Bill Russell, Janet Hood, Jacques Brel and others. Steve Saari is his musical director. Gans, a baritone, has performed solo shows at Danny's Skylight Room, The Green Room, Judy's and Don't Tell Mama. He also performed in Newcomer's Night at Cabaret Convention at Town Hall several years ago.

The Dec. 29 show is at 9 PM, the Dec. 30 show at 6:30. Tickets are $8 with a two-drink minimum. Don't Tell Mama is located at 343 West 46th Street. Call (212) 757-0788 for reservations after 4 PM.
