Murney, who starred as Queenie in Lippa's The Wild Party Off-Broadway, will be joined by Colella (High Fidelity), Reichard (Jersey Boys) and von Essen (Xanadu) for the "behind the music" style event, in which Lippa will present favorite songs and previously unheard material.
Addams Family musical director Mary Mitchell-Campbell will musical direct the 7 PM benefit concert for Ars Nova.
Lippa earned a Tony Award nomination for the score to The Addams Family. He has also penned the musicals The Wild Party, john & jen, A Little Princess and additional songs for the Broadway production Youʼre A Good Man, Charlie Brown. He is currently at work on the new musical The Man in the Ceiling for Disney Theatrical.
Lippa served as an artist-in-residence at Ars Nova and co-founded the emerging composer series Uncharted. All proceeds from the concert will benefit Ars Nova's programming and development initiatives.
