News Andy Karl, Marin Mazzie, Kenita Miller, Margo Seibert, Bobby Steggert Will Be Part of Lynn Ahrens-Stephen Flaherty Celebration The York Theatre Company will honor Tony Award-winning collaborators Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Once On This Island, Ragtime, Rocky, Seussical) with the Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre at the 23rd Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala Nov. 24 at Park Avenue’s Racquet & Tennis Club (370 Park Avenue).

Hosted by Liz Callaway, the evening's entertainment will be directed by Stafford Arima with music direction by Daniel Green.

Scheduled to perform are Jason Danieley, Quentin Earl Darrington, Ramin Karimloo, Andy Karl, Marin Mazzie, Kenita Miller, Margo Seibert, Bobby Steggert and The Broadway Dreams Foundation Choir. Special guests will include playwright Terrence McNally and lyricist Sheldon Harnick, among others.

The production stage manager is Kimothy Cruse.

The Oscar Hammerstein Award, named in honor of the late lyricist, "recognizes significant lifetime achievement in musical theatre." Past recipients include Stephen Sondheim, Betty Comden & Adolph Green, Harold Prince, Cy Coleman, Charles Strouse, Arthur Laurents, Jerry Herman, Stephen Schwartz, Peter Stone, David Merrick, John Kander & Fred Ebb, Terrence McNally, Cameron Mackintosh, Carol Channing, Tony Walton, Joseph Stein, George S. Irving, Jerry Bock & Sheldon Harnick, Thomas Meehan, Barbara Cook, and Paul Gemignani.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6 PM followed by dinner at 7 PM with the award ceremony and entertainment beginning at 8 PM.
