News Anika Noni Rose, Jill Paice, Darius de Haas and Jenn Colella Join NAMT Festival Tony Award-winning actress Anika Noni Rose, Jill Paice, Darius de Haas and Jenn Colella will perform during the National Alliance for Musical Theatre's 22nd Festival of New Musicals in Manhattan.

Known for her talents as an actress, Rose (Caroline, or Change; "Dreamgirls"; "Princess and the Frog") will debut material from a new musical project penned with Jeremy Alan Richards and Eugene Gwozdz during the Oct. 21-22 festival. The work will be presented during NAMT's Songwriters Showcase.

Additional writers/writing teams represented in the Songwriters Showcase include Joshua Cohen and Marisa Michelson; Evan Yionoulis and Mike Yionoulis; Eric Price and Will Reynolds; Shaina Taub; Jonathan Reid Gealt; Michael Wartofsky and Marcus Gardley; and Hyeyoung Kim and Dina Gregory.

The showcase will feature Rose, de Haas (Marie Christine), Zachary Prince (Jersey Boys), Gabriel Violett (Spring Awakening), Aurelia Williams (All Shook Up) and Lauren Worsham (Candide).

In addition, NAMT has also revealed further casting for the musical presentations, which are the heart of the annual festival. Newly added to the festival productions are Paice (Curtains, 39 Steps), Colella (High Fidelity), Stephen Berger (The Pajama Game), Brian Bohr (Not Wanted on the Voyage), P.J. Benjamin (Wicked), Sydney James Harcourt (American Idiot), Zakiya Young (The Little Mermaid), Ben Harney (Dreamgirls) and John Jellison (Memphis).

Musicals to be showcased at NAMT are Big Red Sun, The Bowery Boys, The Giver, Heartbreakers, Lizzie Borden, Play It Cool, Red Clay and The Trouble With Doug.

Founded in 1985 and based in New York City, The National Alliance for Musical Theatre is a national service organization dedicated exclusively to musical theatre. Kathy Evans is the executive director for the organization.
