Ann Harada and Bryce Pinkham are among Broadway stars who will salute rising theatre composer Drew Gasparini in a concert March 20 at Feinstein’s/54 Below nightclub.

Harada, the original Christmas Eve in Avenue Q, who was recently cast as the Madam in the upcoming CSC Off-Broadway revival of Pacific Overtures, will co-star in The Music and Lyrics of Drew Gasparini: It's Kind of a Funny Story, a concert presentation of It’s Kind of a Funny Story. There will be two performances at 7 and 9:30 PM.

Pinkham, Tony-nominated star of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, returned to Broadway earlier this season as the leading man in Holiday Inn. Also lined up to perform: Preston Truman Boyd (Sunset Boulevard) and Colton Ryan (Dear Evan Hansen).

Harada told Playbill that the evening will consist of songs from a project Gasparini and former School of Rock star Alex Brightman have written for Universal Stage Productions. Harada plays a character called Dr. Minerva.


Harada will also appear March 13 in a concert to help raise funds for the Oscar Hammerstein Museum and Theatre Education Center being planned for the Highland Farm residence in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where Hammerstein, lyricist of Oklahoma!, South Pacific and The Sound of Music, made his home. The event, titled Oscar’s Home!, will take place at 6 PM at The Player’s Club in Manhattan. For tickets, visit The Player’s Club is located at 16 Gramercy Park South, NYC. Among the stars slated to appear with Harada are Laura Osnes, Erich Bergen, Liz Larsen, and Telly Leung,

Harada told Playbill, "I love the lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein because for me, there is no one who marries romance and pragmatism so well. I call myself a cockeyed pragmatist, so he is very dear to me."

Pacific Overtures is scheduled to begin previews April 6 at CSC, located at 136 East 13th Street, New York, for a limited engagement through May 27. Opening night is set for May 4.
