News Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins and Margo Martindale Will Join John Krasinski in "The Hollars" John Krasinski, best known for his work on the Emmy-winning NBC series "The Office," will direct and star in the new film "The Hollars," according to Deadline.com.

He will be joined by Anna Kendrick, Richard Jenkins and Margo Martindale.

Krasinski will portray John Hollar, an "aspiring NYC artist who takes his girlfriend (Kendrick) back to his Middle America hometown on the eve of his mother’s (Martindale) brain surgery. There he’s forced to navigate the crazy life he left behind as his dysfunctional family, high school pals, his father (Jenkins), and his over-eager ex flood back into his life ahead of the operation."

James C. Strouse penned the script.

Producers include Tom Rice and Ben Nearn (for Sycamore Pictures) and Groundswell's Michael London. Executive producers include Sunday Night’s Allyson Seeger and Groundswell’s Janice Williams.
