Off-Broadway News Anne Frank, a Musical to Return Off-Broadway This Fall

Following a sold-out debut in 2019, Jean-Pierre Hadida's work uses poetry and music to explore the story of Anne Frank.

Anne Frank a Musical

Anne Frank, a Musical will return Off-Broadway for a 10 performance-engagement at the Actors Temple Theatre beginning October 11 for a run through November 5. Jean-Pierre Hadida's work, adapted into English by Dylan Hadida, originally had a sold-out debut in 2019 at the Center for Jewish History.

Also returning is director and producer David Serero, who will once again play Otto Frank. Featuring 12 performers, the show features both poetry and music by Jean-Pierre Hadida.

The musical's original cast recorded a cast album in 2021 which is available to stream on all digital platforms.

"Since the first time I watched this musical in 2009 in Paris, I fell in love with Jean-Pierre Hadida’s gorgeous music and unique way of expressing Anne Frank’s life, as well as the ones who lived with her while hiding. This theatre piece includes emotive and gorgeous music that respects Anne Frank’s character. This is a moving musical with a strong positive message for humanity and hope,” said Serero in a statement.

Broadway Mad Production, Francine Disegni, and Simon & Michal Kalfon co-present the production.
