News Anne Hathaway in Talks to Bring One-Woman Show Off-Broadway Anne Hathaway, an Oscar winner for "Les Misérables," is reported to be in final negotiations for a one-woman show at the Public Theater – in which she will play a top-gun fighter pilot – according to the Daily Mail.

The British newspaper reported that Hathaway would perform George Brant's award-winning monologue Grounded in New York this pring, to be directed by Tony winner Julie Taymor (The Lion King).

Grounded won a Fringe First award at the Edingburgh Festival and had an extended run at London's Gate Theatre. It examines the life of a female fighter pilot in the Middle East whose unexpected pregnancy ends her career in the sky. Following the birth of her son, she finds it increasingly difficult to adjust to family life. The acclaimed play has and continues to tour internationally.

The Public Theater declined to comment on the production.

Hathaway was last seen in blockbuster film "Interstellar." Her New York stage credits include Twelfth Night for the Public's Shakespeare in the Park and the Encores! Concert staging of Carnival.
