Industry News Annette Bening, Kenny Leon, and More Elected to The Actors Fund Board of Trustees Also announced was the re-election of Brian Stokes Mitchell as Chairman of the Board.

The Actors Fund announced that theatre veterans Annette Bening, Kenny Leon, and four others will become board members.

Two-time Tony nominee Being (All My Sons, Coastal Disturbances) will be the newest vice chair, alongside current vice chairs Bebe Neuwirth, Philip Birsh, and Philip Smith.

Joining Tony winner Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun) as members of the board are former CEO of Grey Advertising-Europe Carolyn Carter, Executive Vice President of the World Wide Group Niko Elmaleh, philanthropist Jane Friedman, Chief Operating Officer of the John Gore Organization Lauren Reid.

Tony Award–winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me, Kate), was re-elected as Chairman of the Board.

Also re-elected to the board are Heather Hitchens, President and CEO of the American Theatre Wing, Ruth Nerken, President of the Jean and Albert Nerken Foundation, Lee Perlman, Executive Vice President and CFO of the Greater New York Hospital Association and President of GNYHA Venture, and Abby Schroeder, CEO of A. Schroeder International.

The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan.
