News Annie Revival Star Joins Stranger Things Sadie Sink, who took over the starring role in the 2012 revival of Annie, is heading to Stranger Things.

The hit Netflix series Stranger Things has picked up another young Broadway actor to join its cast. Sadie Sink, who shared the title role during the run of the 2012 revival of Annie, will be a series regular on the show.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sink will play “Max, a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era.”

The nostalgic sci-fi series also stars Gaten Matarazzo, who was previously seen on Broadway as Gavroche in Les Misérables.

The second season of Stranger Things will debut next summer.
