News Another Bunch of Jersey Boys Will Take Over SF Run of National Tour While the national touring company of Jersey Boys heads to Los Angeles, a second company step into the run of the 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical at San Francisco's Curran Theatre.

The new cast began performances May 4 at the California venue for the reaminder of the recently-extended engagement through September 30 as part of the Best of Broadway season. Tickets are available by phone at (415) 512-7770 or online at shnsf.com.

The newest set of Jersey Boys includes Drew Gehling as Bob Gaudio, Steve Gouveia as Nick Massi, Jeremy Kushnier as Tommy DeVito and Jarrod Spector as Frankie Valli. Gouveia, who played in the original cast, and Spector, who was in the touring company, now bump up to leading roles. Kushnier is a veteran of Footloose and Rent.

The ensemble includes Lyndsey Cole, John Michael Coppola, John Michael Dias, Mike Erickson, Steven M. Goldsmith, John Hickman, Lauren Marshall, Wade McCollum, Rashad Naylor, Jenny Lee Ramos, Jake Speck, Kara Tremel, Ryan Quinn West with Eddie Driscoll and Craig Laurie.

The original touring company, who will next play Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre (May 25-Aug. 5), features Deven May (Bat Boy) as Tommy DeVito, Erich Bergen (White Christmas) as Bob Gaudio, Michael Ingersoll (I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change) as Nick Massi and Christopher Kale Jones (Zhivago) in the Frankie Valli role. They are joined by John Altieri (as Bob Crewe) and Joseph Siravo (Gyp DeCarlo) along with Miles Aubrey, Erik Bates, Douglas Crawford, Sandra DeNise, Jennifer Evans, Rick Faugno, Eric Gutman, Nathan Klau, Brandon Matthieus, Jackie Seiden, Taylor Sternberg and Melissa Strom.

    Des McAnuff (The Who's Tommy, Big River) directs and Sergio Trujillo choreographs the story of American pop group The Four Seasons — the highs, the lows and all in between.

    Jersey Boys features music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and a book by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice. The production garnered four Tony Award wins: for stars John Lloyd Young and Christian Hoff, lighting designer Howell Binkley and for the top prize Best Musical.

    The design team includes Klara Zieglerova (scenic), Jess Goldstein (costume), Howell Binkley (lighting), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound), Michael Clark (projections) and Charles LaPointe (wig and hair design). Steve Orich handles orchestrations while Ron Melrose takes on music direction, vocal arrangements and incidental music.

    The Jersey Boys tour is produced by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J. Grano, Tamara and Kevin Kinsella, Pelican Group, in association with Latitude Link and Rick Steiner.
