News Answers Sought in un becoming, a Drama About Hysterectomies, Feb. 5-28 in NYC un becoming, a new issues-oriented play about hysterectomies, gets its world premiere Feb. 5-28 in New York City, coinciding with a hysterectomy conference.

Rick Schweikert's play, directed by Schweikert and Jeffery Carpenter, "follows Emma Douglas as she struggles to see through manipulation, lust and denial in an effort to get to the truth surrounding her impending surgery," according to production notes. "un becoming is a play about the issues surrounding hysterectomy and explores how one can suddenly lose control of one's self when the voice of intuition is silenced." Opening for the Equity staging is Feb. 11 at 45th Street Theater, 354 W. 45th St. The play runs in association with the 23rd Annual Hysterectomy Conference presented by The HERS Foundation.

The cast includes Laura Flanagan, Tami Dixon, Benjamin Moore, David McCamish, Jeffrey Carpenter, Lisa Yonker, Sage Fitzgerald and Naomi Barr.
