The Broadway Spotlight Series at the Ars Nova Theater continues in June with an appearance by former Rent star Anthony Rapp.

Rapp, who was last on Broadway in the revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, will perform at the New York theatre on Monday, June 3 at 8 PM. Accompanied by his band, Rapp will play a rock-n-roll set that combines new material with the group's favorites.

In a statement, Gordon Greenberg — who is the artistic director of the series — commented, "This is an incredible opportunity to see some of Broadway's most exciting young talent as individual performers in an up close and personal environment. For about the cost of a movie, audiences get a completely original evening with a major talent. We are committed to offering this sort of an intimate platform to performers, composers and lyricists who wish to explore new material in a comfortable setting."

The series began April 8 with a performance from 42nd Street's Meredith Patterson.

Rapp created the role of Mark Cohen in the Broadway and London productions of Rent. His other theatrical credits include You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Precious Sons; Six Degrees of Separation; Bright Lights, Big City; Raised in Captivity; Trafficking in Broken Hearts; Youth Is Wasted; Sophistry; and The Destiny of Me. The 99-seat Ars Nova Theater is located at 511 West 54th Street in New York City. Tickets, priced at $12, are available at the door in cash only; for reservations, call (212) 977-1700. Doors open at 7:30 PM.
