A Fabulous Sylvester Musical, written by Anthony Wayne (Pippin, Anything Goes, Priscilla Queen of the Desert), returns to New York following sold-out runs in Manhattan, Miami and Washington, D.C.

Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical, according to press notes, "tells the life story of the 'Queen of Disco,' Sylvester, through his music and his point of view. Beyond all the trials and tribulations of his life – and the glitz and glamour of his lifestyle -- Sylvester was not only a symbol for being Fabulous, but also a pioneer in the LGBTQ community for showing, unapologetically, you have to be true to who you are. Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical allows Sylvester’s classic songs to enter your ears, soar through your heart, and inspire your soul."

Wayne also stars as 1970s disco singer Sylvester alongside Anastacia McCleskey (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Hair, The Book of Mormon) and Jacqueline B. Arnold (We Will Rock You, Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as The Two Tons of Fun/Weather Girls.

DeAnne Stewart and Rahmel McDade are also featured as the Sylvester Singers.

Performances continue through Oct. 5.

Stylist Kendrell Bowman is the show's costume designer and head producer alongside Wayne. Other members of the creative team include scenic and lighting designer David Lander, sound designer Rafe Carlotto of Sound Associates and general manager Edmund Gaynes.

The Theatre at St. Clements is located at 423 W. 46th Street. For more information and tickets, call (866) 811-4111 or visit FabulousSylvester.com.
