Cyrano, starring Antony Sher, is West End bound. The production will open Nov. 25 for what is being billed as a "limited season" at the Lyric Theatre. The Royal Shakespeare Company production opened at Stratford in early September, where it played to sold-out houses, and then toured several UK cities.
The production is directed by Greg Doran. This season marks the centenary of Edmond Rostand's classic; RSC is performing the Anthony Burgess translation and adaptation of the play (unlike NY's Roundabout Theatre, where Frank Langella and company are currently performing the Brian Hooker translation).
