News Anything Goes: Karen Akers Sings Cole Porter Plays Urban Stages Dec. 4 Anything Goes: Karen Akers Sings Cole Porter launches the Winter Rhythms 2012 festival of music, which begins Dec. 4 at Urban Stages.

The 7 PM benefit performance promises a tribute to the musical world of Anything Goes and Kiss Me, Kate writer Porter. Akers (Nine, Grand Hotel) is joined by musical director Don Rebic. A dinner at Seven Restaurant follows the performance. Tickets for the special event are $125.

Winter Rhythms 2012 programming also includes Peter Napolitano's Songs From a Wedding, a Penthouse and a Pinocchio, featuring Robert Cuccioli Janice Hall, Marcie Henderson, Julie Reyburn, Susan Winter, Carole J. Bufford, Miles Phillips, Mick Bleyer and more on Dec. 5; Julie Reyburn's Winter Songs on Dec. 7; Carole Demas and Paula Janis on Dec. 8; Adriane Lennox and Andrea Frierson with The Barry Levitt Trio on Dec. 11; Smile on My Face: The Songs of Richard Eisenberg with Erin Cronican, Rob Langeder, Stacie Perlman and Adam Shapiro on Dec. 13; and the closing night gala From All of Us To All of You: Seasonal Songs and Disney, Too! on Dec. 15.
