Herzog's play, which deftly reveals the unraveling of a young married couple through a series of revelations, received strong critical notices when it premiered at the Yale Repertory Theater in 2011. The NYTW production, which began previews Feb. 12 and officially opened March 3, reunites much of the original Yale Rep cast and creative team.

Anne Kauffman (Detroit, This Wide Night), who staged the Yale premiere, returns for the Off-Broadway engagement that features original cast members Dizzia, Keller and Pascale Armand, as well as new company member Phillip James Brannon.

Here's how it's billed: "Abby and Zack—young, American and married – have shirked the stability of a comfortable post-graduate life in the States for Belleville, a bustling, bohemian, multicultural neighborhood in Paris. In an attempt to build a life together away from their family and friends, their passive-aggressive and aggressively passionate relationship is put to the test after an awkward afternoon discovery, a landlord's ultimatum and a cracked toenail."

Dizzia is a Tony Award nominee for In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play. She has also been seen in Uncle Vanya, Eurydice, The Hallway Trilogy, Cradle and All and Drunken City, among others. Keller co-starred opposite Dizzia in Cradle and All, and also appeared on Broadway in Wit, as well as The Seagull at Classic Stage Company, Smudge, That Pretty Pretty… and Reborning.

Armand's stage credits include Eclipsed, dance of the holy ghosts, Ruined and Gem of the Ocean. Brannon appeared in The Ballad of Emmett Till, Waiting for Godot and the premiere of BootyCandy. The design team for Belleville includes Julia C. Lee (set design), Mark Nagle (costume design), Ben Stanton (lighting design) and Robert Kaplowitz (sound design).

Playwrights Horizons recently presented Herzog's latest work, The Great God Pan, Off-Broadway. She earned acclaim for her play 4000 Miles, which debuted at LCT3 in 2011 and returned for an Off-Broadway run at Lincoln Center Theater last summer. She has also written After the Revolution and Hungry. Herzog's plays have been produced or developed at the Yale School of Drama, Ensemble Studio Theater, Arena Stage, New York Stage and Film, Provincetown Playhouse and ACT in San Francisco.
