LOS ANGELES -- Art Metrano, best known for his performances as Lt. Hauser in "Police Academy" movies and for his work as a stand-up comic, will bring his one-man show< Metrano's Accidental Comedy, to the Odyssey Theatre as a visiting production. The opening is set for March 3 and the run is six weeks. Joe Bologna directs.

Metrano's solo turn, which played as "The Amazing Metrano" Off-Broadway a few seasons back, is based on personal experience. In 1989, due to a freak accident, he suffered a broken neck which many doctors thought would leave him a quadriplegic. But through rehabilitation and willpower, Metrano was able to make a miraculous recovery.

Director Bologna is married to Renee Taylor, with whom he has written, and appeared in, many plays. Set design is by Tom Butternitz, lights by Kathi O'Donohue and costumes by Rebecca Metrano.

Odyssey Theatre is located at 2055 S. Sepulveda Nlvd. For tickets and information call (310) 477-2055.
