The project, penned by Josh Fagin, is scheduled to begin production in early 2013. Producers Julie Pacino and Jennifer DeLia are in the process of casting the roles of Charlie Chaplin, Pickford's mother and manager Charlotte Hennessy, her friend and collaborator Frances Marion, Douglas Fairbanks and D.W. Griffith.
Rabe, who was recently seen on Broadway in Seminar, was nominated for a Tony Award in 2011 for her performance in The Merchant of Venice. She has also been seen on Broadway in The American Plan, Heartbreak House and Steel Magnolias and will star as Rosalind in the upcoming Shakespeare in the Park production of As You Like It.
