News Ashley and Lahr Will Debate Cat Revival on March 8 "Theater Talk" The all African-American cast revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will be the focus of the March 8 broadcast of "Theater Talk," the PBS chat show that offers interviews with top theatre practitioners.

Actress Elizabeth Ashley, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Maggie in the 1974 revival of Tennessee Williams' Cat, and The New Yorker critic John Lahr will be on hand to discuss Williams and what led him to create this classic American drama as well as the idea of presenting the show with an all African-American company. The Cat revival — starring Terrence Howard, James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad and Anika Noni Rose — officially opens March 6 at the Broadhurst Theatre. Debbie Allen directs.

By special arrangement with WNET/Thirteen, this episode of "Theater Talk" will premiere on CUNY TV (channel 75 in NYC) March 8 at 8:30 PM; repeats are scheduled for March 9 at 12:30 PM and March 10 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM. WNET/Thirteen will broadcast the Cat episode April 4.
