News Ashmanskas and Collella Will Join Songwriter Green at Birdland Jan. 28 Brooks Ashmanskas and Jenn Collella are among the Broadway talents who will join High Fidelity lyricist Amanda Green for Does This Song Make My Ass Look Phat? at Birdland Jan. 28.

The evening will feature Green and company performing songs from the musicals High Fidelity, Debbie Does Dallas, the upcoming Second Stage production of Feeling Electric and more. Composer Tom Kitt, Green's High Fidelity co-creator, will serve as musical director for the 7 PM concert. Green will be joined by Brooks Ashmanskas (The Ritz, Songs for a New World), Jenn Colella (High Fidelity), Jonathan Dokuchitz (Hairspray), Jeny Foote (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Amy Spanger (The Wedding Singer).

The daughter of the late legendary writer, lyricist and performer Adolph Green and the actress Phyllis Newman, Amanda Green has penned lyrics for High Fidelity, Feeling Electric, Debbie Does Dallas and the 2004 production of Hallelujah Baby! Her additional credits include Up the Week Without a Paddle, Put A Little Love in Your Mouth: The Tongue-in-Cheek Songs of Amanda Green, and her one-woman show Take It Like Amanda.
