The event promoting the band's latest album "Dog Eared" will begin at 9:30 PM at the downtown Manhattan venue. Assassins cast members Kendra Kassebaum (who leads the ensemble in "Something Just Broke") and Alex Gemignani (who portrays John Hinckley) will also appear in an eight-member band, which also includes Chris Wielding of the original Hedwig band.

Cerveris, recently seen Off-Broadway in Wintertime and Fifth of July, earned a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway debut as the title role in The Who's Tommy. He won the Tony for Assassins. He has also appeared in Titanic on Broadway as well as the title role in Off-Broadway's Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

"Dog Eared" is currently available on Low Heat Records and features 12 tracks that include guest appearances by Norman Blake, Ken Stringfellow, Anders Parker, Kevin March, Steve Shelley and Laura Cantrell. In a statement, singer/songwriter Cerveris said, "['Dog Eared'] was my way of making one big alternative reality. I have such a literal or emotional connection with all these people and it seemed as if they all belonged in the same room together... and that room became this record."

Tickets to the performance at Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette Street (on Astor Place) are available by calling (212) 239-6200 or visit www.joespub.com. For more information on Cerveris the actor or the band, visit www.michaelcerveris.com or www.cerveris.com, respectively.
