Big cat, little cat.

Atlanta's theatregoers will catch the big cat, The Lion King, followed by the house variety in Seussical in the 2002-03 Broadway in Atlanta season. The Lion King plays the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center Jan. 31-March 16, 2003. Seussical, starring Cathy Rigby as the Cat in the Hat, will call the Fox Theatre home May 13-18, 2003.

Mamma Mia! opens the Broadway in Atlanta season Sept. 24-Oct. 6 at the Fox Theatre. The ABBA-based musical comedy has established hit runs in London, in Australia and on Broadway.

Also set for the season are Aida (which had its ill-fated world premiere at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre), playing Nov. 6-23, 2002, the area premiere of Contact March 18-23 and a new tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, April 1-6. All three shows will play the Fox Theatre.
