News Atlantic Theater's Staged Reading of New Play Open to Public The Atlantic Theater company is currently presenting a staged reading of Matriarchate, a new play by Jordan Lage.

Lage, a founding member of the Atlantic, is also directing the reading, which runs through July 18 at the Atlantic Theater Studio on West 16th Street. Featuring the talents of Derek Argobright, Kelly Maurer, Jonathan Kells Phillips and Todd Woodard, Matriarchate concerns three siblings who strive to please their fickle mom on Mother's Day. Writer/director Jordan Lage has appeared in the Atlantic's productions of Force Continuum, The Water Engine, The Hothouse, Wolf Lullaby, Mojo, Blithe Spirit, The Joy of Going Somewhere Definite and Edmond.

The Atlantic Theater Company recently presented the premiere of Woody Allen's Writer's Block with a cast headed by Bebe Neuwirth and Paul Reiser. For more information about the theatre, visit www.atlantictheater.org.
