A Dec. 4 screening of David Mamet’s new film, “State and Main” will benefit the Atlantic Theatre, which was founded by Mamet and actor William H. Macy.

The New York Premiere of the Fine Line Features’ release will be attended by Mamet as well as film cast members Charles Durning, screenwriter Clark Gregg (“What Lies Beneath”), Philip Seymour Hoffman, Patti LuPone, David Paymer, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Julia Stiles.

“State and Main” stars Alec Baldwin, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Julia Stiles in the story of a Vermont town that is turned “upside down and sideways” for one week by the presence of a movie crew.

The benefit screening will take place at Chelsea West Cinema at 333 W. 23 St. between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

Tickets to the screening and after party are $200. The party will be held at 24 Fifth Avenue Ballroom, between Fifth Avenue and 11 St. For tickets call (212) 414-1377. -- By Murdoch McBride
