Based on Arthur Miller's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, the film, which has been out of circulation for years, will be presented as part of "To Save and Project: The 11th MoMA International Festival of Film Preservation."
It will be screened in Theater 2 of The Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters at The Museum of Modern Art.
Produced by Kramer and directed by László Benedek, the screenplay of "Death of a Salesman" was written by Stanley Roberts. The 1951 film stars Frederic March, Mildred Dunnock, Kevin McCarthy and Cameron Mitchell and features cinematography by Franz Planer, production design by Rudolph Sternad and compositions by Alex North.
"Death of a Salesman" was nominated for five Academy Awards and won four Golden Globe Awards.
