News Audra McDonald and Megan Hilty Will Swing at the Kennedy Center The Kennedy Center will present its 2015 Spring Gala, which is titled It Don’t Mean a Thing… A Celebration of Swing, May 3 in the Concert Hall.

The evening will boast the talents of six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald, "Smash" star Megan Hilty, Grammy winners Terence Blanchard and Paquito D'Rivera and the Puppini Sisters, who will pay tribute to the Andrews Sisters. The Paul Taylor Dance Company and the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, under the direction of Grammy-winning jazz producer John Clayton, will also be featured.

The performance will salute America’s swing era of the 1930’s and 1940’s, spotlighting a time when "young adults crowded dance clubs across the country to take their turn doing the Jitterbug and Lindy Hop to the music of Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and smooth vocals of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nat King Cole."
