Six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald and Tony nominee Will Swenson have announced the birth of their daughter, Sally James McDonald-Swenson. Sally James was born October 19 at 11:16 PM ET.

The baby is named after Swenson’s late mother, Sally, and McDonald’s late father, Stanley James.

McDonald and Swenson married in October 2012, and this is their first child together. In addition to Sally James, McDonald is mother to one daughter, Zoe Madeline (age 15), and Swenson is father to two sons, Bridger (age 15) and Sawyer (age 12).

McDonald posted a photo of the baby’s feet to Twitter this morning, along with the message: “@thewillswenson and I are overjoyed to welcome Sally James McDonald-Swenson, born last night at 11:16pm. Our hearts are bursting.”

McDonald was starring in the Broadway production of Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed when the couple first announced the news of her pregnancy. In a May 10 statement McDonald said, “Who knew that tap dancing during perimenopause could lead to pregnancy? Will and I are completely surprised—and elated—to be expecting a new addition to our family. I am so very grateful to everyone in New York and London for allowing me to rearrange my schedule to accommodate this little miracle. Of course, I’m disappointed I have to postpone my West End debut in Lady Day, but I look forward to rescheduling as soon as possible.”
