True-Frost, a recent cast member of Broadway's August: Osage County, will direct the limited run, which plays March 13-21 at the Arrow Theatre in Cambridge.
Press notes for Ladybird read: "The night before leaving his home to fight in Chechnya, Dima throws himself a small going away party in the apartment he shares with his drunken father. As he celebrates with a junkie, a small-time criminal, a good friend, and her mysterious cousin, the night takes a dark turn when the junkie tries to pawn Dima's most precious possession. In the wake of this betrayal, the host and his desperate guests are forced to confront what it is they really value and what might be left for them in a community known only as 'Dead and Alive.'"
The cast includes Josh Stamell, Paul Murillo, Anna Rahn, Sheila Carrasco, Doug Chapman and Shawn Cody.
Designing Ladybird are Matthew Whiton (set design), Nathan Leigh (sound design), Hilary Gately (costume design) and Kirsten Opstad (lighting design).
