According to a Playbill On-Line reader, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service has seized the contents of Capitol City Playhouse in Austin, TX. An auction will be held for all sound and lighting equipment, theatre seats, costumes, props and office furniture. The auction is set for Thursday morning, Dec. 12, at the theatre at 4th St. off Colorado. A preview will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11.
A call to the Playhouse led to a message that the phone number had been changed. Playbill On-Line called the number then given and heard a disconnect message, with no further information available at this time.
