Australian Stephen Flint Wood is set to become a major player in the theatre world.

The International Management Group, a rising force in the arts world, has announced the appointment of Flint Wood to head their international operations. He is currently leading the Australian division of IMG and leaves Australia after overseeing the concert presentations of My Fair Lady at Werribee Park on February 27 and 28.

Starring Anthony Warlow and Suzanne Johnstone, who played Higgins and Eliza in the recent Sydney revival, the concert in the park format is derived from IMG's Hampton Court Palace Festival in England, where patrons enjoy entertainment with a picnic atmosphere in the grounds of a stately mansion.

Looking to the future Flint Wood is optimistic about reproducing the Broadway and West End success of Chicago on Australian stages later in the year, and hopes to tour Australia's arena staging of Jesus Christ Superstar throughout the United States.
