News Avenue Q to Be Welcomed to Las Vegas in Style The cast and crew of the Las Vegas production of Avenue Q will arrive at their new Nevada home Aug. 16.

Impresario Steve Wynn and a host of his Wynn Las Vegas employees will be on hand to welcome the Avenue Q folk, who will arrive in three rare Bently limousines. The cast will then debut a new song that was written to celebrate their move into the 1,200-seat Broadway Theater at Wynn Las Vegas.

A press conference at Wynn Las Vegas' La Fleur Meeting Room will follow.

Performances of the Nevada run begin Aug. 27 and open Sept. 8. Beginning Sept. 3, the show will play a ten-show-per-week schedule (with two dark nights). The curtain will rise twice a night at 6:30 PM and 10 PM.

Original Broadway stars John Tartaglia — who plays Princeton, Rod and others — and Rick Lyon — who handles Nicky, Trekkie Monster and more — will be joined in the doubled ensemble by Angela Ai, David Benoit, Steven Booth, Minglie Chen, Tonya Dixon, Rita Dolphin, Natalie Gray, Phyre Hawkins, Nicholas Kohn, Michelle Lane, Kevin Noonchester, Brynn O'Malley, Cole Porter, Jonathan Root, Kelli Sawyer, Sharon Wheatley and Haneefah Wood.
