The Tony-winning Avenue Q will celebrate World Puppetry Day March 21 at 8:30 AM with a large gathering of puppets in Times Square.
Professional and amateur puppeteers are invited to gather on the Red Steps at 47th Street and Broadway; families and theatregoers are also encouraged to attend the gathering. Avenue Q’s Kate Monster and Rod will host the Times Square event.

World Puppetry Day was inaugurated by Iranian puppet artist Javad Zolfaghari. In celebration of the day, the musical comedy is offering $45 specially priced tickets and $25 tickets to any patron who comes to the theatre with a puppet on March 21.
