In most major markets, here! is available as Subscription Video on Demand service. The film, according to press notes, "centers on Michael, who is slightly more educated in the mysteries of human reproduction than his sheltered friends. Passing on his knowledge has tragic consequences for Michael in the oppressive society of his day."

The cast features Jesse Lee Soffer as Michael, Javier Picayo as Matthew, Carrie Wiita as Anne, Constance Towers as Mrs. Gable, John Aniston as Mr. Gable, Victoria Tennant as Mrs. Woodman, Jason Graae as Doctor/Minister/Musician, Bridget Moloney as Miriam, Heather Freedman as Ruth, Briana Feehan as Martha, Gary Bisig as Mr. Steifel/Meltzer, Susan Elizabeth Shaw as Thea, Yuval David as Arthur/Hartshorne/1st Boy, Chad Richman as George/Digby/2nd Boy, Jan Milligan as Henry/Newdigate/3rd Boy, Nicholas Downs as Eugene/Painstroke/4th Boy and Alex Schemmer as Joseph/Hablebald/5th Boy.

Arthur Allan Seidelman directed.

Wedekind's play was also the source material for the Tony Award-winning Spring Awakening musical.
