News Award-Winning International Docudrama Premieres Off-Broadway Tonight The international and Edinburgh Fringe Festival hit Nirbhaya makes its U.S. premiere Off-Broadway beginning April 16. The award-winning docudrama is based on the Delhi bus gang rape in 2012 and features performers' testimonials of female violence.

Presented by Culture Project, Nirbhaya is written and directed by Yaël Faber (Mies Julie), in collaboration with the cast and creative team from India. Performances are at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre, with an opening night set for April 26. The play recalls the 2012 violent incident in India that made headlines around the world.
