News Bacharach Reimagined, Co-Conceived by and Starring Kyle Riabko, Premieres at New York Theatre Workshop The New York Theatre Workshop world premiere of What's It All About? Conceived by Riabko and David Lane Seltzer, What's It All About? will officially open Dec. 5 for a run through Jan. 5, 2014. The production features music by Grammy and Academy Award winner Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David and others, and musical arrangements by Riabko.

The cast features actor/co-writer Riabko (Spring Awakening) as well as Daniel Bailen, Laura Dreyfuss, James Nathan Hopkins, Nathaly Lopez, James Williams and Daniel Woods.

"I'm very supportive of this project," Bacharach said in an earlier statement. "I think Kyle has done something truly unique with my music. I like it very much, and I think you will too."

According to NYTW, "The enduring music of Burt Bacharach is given new life as musician and actor Riabko performs his unique, soulful arrangements of the Bacharach songbook with an eclectic group of young musicians and performers... What's It All About? is a re-introduction to the timeless music of Bacharach through the eyes and ears of a new generation."

The creative team includes Tony Award-winning scenic designer Christine Jones (Spring Awakening, American Idiot) and Brett Banakis; costume designer Andrea Lauer (American Idiot); Tony-nominated lighting designer Japhy Weideman (The Nance); and Tony-winning sound designer Clive Goodwin (Once). Musical direction is by Riabko. Bacharach is the recipient of three Academy Awards and eight Grammys, including the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award and 1997 Trustees Award. The composer of Promises, Promises, Bacharach's numerous hits include "Alfie," "Arthur's Theme," "Close To You," "Do You Know The Way To San Jose," "I Say A Little Prayer," "I'll Never Fall In Love Again," "On My Own," "That's What Friends Are For," "This Guy's In Love With You," "Walk On By," "What The World Needs Now Is Love" and "Wishin' And Hopin'."

Hoggett's Broadway credits include The Glass Menagerie, Once, American Idiot, Peter and the Starcatcher and the upcoming musical adaptation of Rocky. His works also include Black Watch, Beautiful Burnout, Let the Right One In and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
