Entitled Broadway's Back!, the one-time-only event will boast performances by Tony Award winners Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters and Bob Martin as well as "American Idol" winner Fantasia. Cast members from nearly every Broadway show will also take part in the event, which is open to the public. Seth Rudetsky, currently part of the cast of The Ritz, will lead a full orchestra.
Doors will open at 11:30 AM.
The Marriott Marquis is located at 1535 Broadway between 45th and 46th Streets. The theatre is the home of The Drowsy Chaperone, one of the shows that had been darkened by the 19-day stagehands strike.

Fantasia won the FOX-TV "American Idol" competition in May 2004. She went on to release two solo albums, "Free Yourself" in 2004 and "Fantasia" in December 2006. The singing actress is currently making her Broadway bow in The Color Purple. Her autobiography is titled "Life Is Not a Fairy Tale," which was subsequently made into a Lifetime TV movie, "The Fantasia Barrino Story."
Bob Martin won Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Book of a Musical for The Drowsy Chaperone, the musical in which he also stars as Man in Chair. His Canadian stage credits include An Awkward Evening with Martin and Johnson, The Good Life, Alumni Café, Skippy's Rangers and Old Wine, New Bottles. His film credits include "Childstar," "Last Night," "Torso" and "Clubland." Martin was also the writer and creative producer for the television series "Slings & Arrows."
