Entitled Broadway's Back!, the one-time-only event will boast performances by Tony Award winners Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters and Bob Martin as well as "American Idol" winner Fantasia. Cast members from nearly every Broadway show will also take part in the event, which is open to the public. Seth Rudetsky, currently part of the cast of The Ritz, will lead a full orchestra.

Doors will open at 11:30 AM.

The Marriott Marquis is located at 1535 Broadway between 45th and 46th Streets. The theatre is the home of The Drowsy Chaperone, one of the shows that had been darkened by the 19-day stagehands strike.

Bernadette Peters was last on Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Gypsy, for which she received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for her performance as Rose in the Sam Mendes-directed production. She won her two Tonys for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song & Dance and Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, and she has also starred on Broadway in Mack & Mabel, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Peters' newest live recording, "Sondheim, Etc., Etc.—Bernadette Peters Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It)," is available on the Angel Records label. Masterworks Broadway has also released a "Legends of Broadway" CD celebrating her theatrical career. Peters' screen credits are numerous. Perhaps best known her for work as TV sleuth Jessica Fletcher on "Murder, She Wrote," Lansbury is one of the most celebrated stars of the Broadway stage. She received Tony Awards for her performances in Sweeney Todd, Gypsy, Dear World and Mame, and she also appeared on The Great White Way in Hotel Paradiso, A Taste of Honey, Anyone Can Whistle, The King and I and A Little Family Business. Her numerous film credits include "Gaslight," "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and "The Manchurian Candidate," all of which brought the actress Academy Award nominations. Lansbury was recently on Broadway in Terrence McNally's Deuce (Tony nomination).

Fantasia won the FOX-TV "American Idol" competition in May 2004. She went on to release two solo albums, "Free Yourself" in 2004 and "Fantasia" in December 2006. The singing actress is currently making her Broadway bow in The Color Purple. Her autobiography is titled "Life Is Not a Fairy Tale," which was subsequently made into a Lifetime TV movie, "The Fantasia Barrino Story."

Bob Martin won Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Book of a Musical for The Drowsy Chaperone, the musical in which he also stars as Man in Chair. His Canadian stage credits include An Awkward Evening with Martin and Johnson, The Good Life, Alumni Café, Skippy's Rangers and Old Wine, New Bottles. His film credits include "Childstar," "Last Night," "Torso" and "Clubland." Martin was also the writer and creative producer for the television series "Slings & Arrows."
