News Baldwin, Rapp, Jacoby and Pasquale Sing Songs You Don't Know Sept. 26 The songs of Dan Lipton and David Rossmer will be presented Sept. 26 at Makor in an evening titled Songs You Don't Know by People Who Love You.

The one-night-only event — part of the second annual New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) — will feature songs from two Lipton/Rossmer musicals: notes to MariAnne, a contemporary rock musical; and JOE!, about a man trapped in a musical. Those scheduled to interpret the songwriters' tunes include Christian Anderson, Kate Baldwin, Bridget Barkan, John Cariani, Matt Cavenaugh, Mark Jacoby, Steven Pasquale, Suzan Postel, Anthony Rapp, Steve Rosen and Josh Young. Show time is 8 PM. Presented by Kirsten Berkman and Jamie McGonnigal, the evening's musicians will include Adam Ben-David, Howard Joines, Amy Kimball, Joe Quigley, Peter Sachon, Jake Schwartz and Andrew Sterman.

David Rossmer was most recently seen on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof and was part of the cast of the new musical Zhivago. He is also a singer/songwriter/keyboardist for the rock band The Misconceptions. Dan Lipton currently plays piano in the pit orchestra for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He has accompanied Audra McDonald at several concerts around the country, and his third solo album, "Zeitgeist," will be released this fall.
