News Baltimore Tony Event to Benefit Broadway Cares Local Baltimore theatre groups will assemble June 15 — the evening of the 2008 Tony Awards — at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center in the M&T Bank Pavilion to help raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

In addition to performances by the various theatre companies, the evening, which begins at 6:30 PM, will also feature a Broadway Flea Market, a silent auction and a food tasting provided by local restaurants. At 8 PM the 62nd Annual Tony Awards will be broadcast live on a big screen.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund-raising and grant-making organization. For more information visit www.broadwaycares.org or call (212) 840-0770.
