Broadway News Bandstand’s Corey Cott and wife Meghan Wollard Welcome Their First Child Woollard went into labor during Cott’s April 30 performance.

Corey Cott, who stars as Donny Novitski in Broadway’s newest musical Bandstand, and his wife Meghan Woollard welcomed a baby boy May 1. At 8 lbs 1 oz., Elliott Michael Cott arrived as his parents listened to Broadway’s Waitress—a true Broadway baby.


Cott, who made his Broadway debut as Jack in Disney’s Newsies (replacing Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan) and later starred in Gigi, posted to Twitter April 30 that his wife had gone into labor during his show.


Following the May 2 performance, Cott's co-star Laura Osnes and the full company presented him with a gift for his son. Take a look at the video below.

Cott and Woollard, wed in January 2013. This is their first child.
