The singing actress, who has starred in the classic musicals Oklahoma!, Carousel and The Music Man, performs in the Bram Goldsmith Theater at 8 PM.

"We're truly honored to welcome musical icon Barbara Cook to The Wallis for a dynamic evening of song," Patricia Wolff, interim artistic director of The Wallis, said in a previous statement. "In the space of two months, we'll have the pleasure of welcoming three of the most prolific female Broadway performers of all time to our theater: Ms. Cook, Patti LuPone and Betty Buckley. We're blessed that these women, who have so much living history and artistry among them, are all gracing our stage."

Barbara Cook, a 2010 Tony nominee for her performance in Sondheim on Sondheim, has starred on Broadway in Flahooley, Candide, The Gay Life, The Music Man and She Loves Me. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance in The Music Man, and her one-woman show, Mostly Sondheim, was nominated for a Tony in the Best Special Theatrical Event category. Cook was also seen on the New York stage in Barbara Cook's Broadway. Both Mostly Sondheim and Barbara Cook's Broadway were recorded for DRG. Cook made her solo debut at the Metropolitan Opera, which was also released on DRG Records.

Additionally, the Wallis will present, with Writers Bloc, Norman Lear in conversation with Phil Rosenthal March 12 at 8 PM. Lear wrote the hit TV shows "All In the Family," "Sanford and Son," "Maude," and others.

The Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening, which documents teen angst through rock music, will begin performances May 21 prior to an official opening May 28. Presented with Deaf West Theatre and Cody Lassen, the musical will continue through June 7. It will be performed simultaneously in American Sign Language and spoken English by a cast of 25. Here's how the production is billed: "Based on Frank Wedekind’s controversial 1891 expressionist play of the same name and featuring an electrifying pop/rock score, Spring Awakening follows the lives of a group of adolescents as they navigate their journey from adolescence to adulthood in a fusion of morality, sexuality and rock & roll. An extraordinary creative team, including director Arden, choreographer Liff, and musical director Jared Stein (first National Tour of Spring Awakening as well as Broadway productions of American Idiot and Hair) reinvents the groundbreaking musical about lost innocence and the struggles of youth in true Deaf West style."
